During 2025, the Egyptian Prison Authority carried out death sentences by hanging against at least 15 individuals, including one woman, across 10 cases.
During the month of December, Egyptian courts issued death sentences to 52 defendants in 31 cases. Among them, 2 were issued final verdicts that could not be appealed.
During the month of November, Egyptian courts issued death sentences to 51 defendants in 30 cases. Among them, 4 were issued final verdicts that could not be appealed.
